08:00 : Visit Issyk Lake
Issyk Lake, located not far from Almaty, has its peculiar past. The locals have always referred to this body of water as "Green Lake." One of the European explorers made the first reference to a beautiful body of water back in 1856.
Almaty's Issyk Lake is in Ile-Alatau National Park, on the district's southwestern edge. It is a hollow that was made when tectonic plates moved apart a long time ago. It is thought that Issyk Lake, near Almaty, started forming about 10,000 years ago.
This happened because a piece of the rock that broke off and fell into the river caused the river to fall. So, a dam grew up, and it was about 300 meters tall. The reason this pond got bigger was because of the building of this dam.
14:00 : Visit to Green Bazaar
Green Bazaar has a history dating back more than one hundred years, making it one of the oldest market areas in the city. Green Bazaar was historically considered one of the most significant trading points ever since 1875.
Several Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Tadjiks, Koreans, and Russians work as sellers here, so visitors can experience the ambiance of an authentic Middle Eastern bazaar while shopping for fresh produce, souvenirs, and regional specialties. They can also get a glimpse of Kazakhstan's rich cultural variety.
It is easy to know the vendor's country of origin by the things they sell: Kazakhs are more likely to sell fresh dairy and meat, Uzbeks and Tadjiks will sell delicious fresh and dried fruit and vegetables, Koreans will sell spicy salads and snacks, and Russians will mostly sell pickles and herbal tea. You will have time to go shopping.
After touring the green bazaar, next will be to visit the Rakhat Chocolate Shop. The Rakhat Company is Kazakhstan's primary provider of confectionary products and the country's largest manufacturer. Every product is manufactured per the recipe from the Soviet Union and the GOST standards from the Soviet Union.
Visit to the old part of Almaty
This park is in Moscow, and it was built to honor the 28 Panfilov guardsmen who died while protecting the city. The park is interesting for people who live in the city and those who visit. It has several interesting sights that date back to when Kazakhstan was part of the Soviet Union.Guests will be able to admire the stunning Ascension Cathedral, erected in 1907. Even though it was constructed without using any nails, the cathedral suffered only minor damage during the earthquake that occurred in 1911.
